Let's Help Kids works to meet non-basic needs for children by providing them with special items or experiences that they may not otherwise receive. While many worthwhile organizations exist to provide food, shelter, and financial assistance to families who are struggling to make ends meet, Let's Help Kids provides “the extras.”
Every summer, Let’s Help Kids helps hundreds of kids go to a week of summer day camp. Those are hundreds of kids who will each spend 1 week playing outside, trying new activities, meeting new people, engaging with caring adults, laughing, playing, and having fun.
The Let’s Help Kids education workshop series will teach kids a set of skills that will help them make a difference by building empathy, discovering their strengths, exploring what is important to them, and developing solutions that make a difference in their community.
Bucket Brigade Clubs provide a framework to schools and families to bring kids together and teach them ways that they can get involved and give back within their local communities. Clubs can raise money to support the overall organization of Let’s Help Kids, or they can make up their own project to fund and execute.
This one is pretty simple. Kids of all ages can make a difference. Take a bucket and fill it with spare change. You know where to find it ... hiding in the couch, in the cup holder in your car, buried in old pockets, you can even ask the neighbors for theirs too!
