March in Washington DC brings a riot of color along DC’s famous tidal basin. Over 3,000 cherry trees blossom in a symbol of spring and friendship between Japan and the United States. But for us at Let’s Help Kids, spring brings our gala where we fill a ballroom with balloons — admittedly not 3000 balloons — but enough to light up the faces of the children in attendance.
This year’s gala was a colorful success, and since good news is often hard to find, we wanted to share how your generosity is providing…
- 96 weeks of summer camp
- 16 new bicycles
- 13 dream-making birthday gifts
…and thousands of dollars in general support donations to help us continue with our mission to bring happiness to more kids in need in 2016.
To all of you who danced with us and who were able to welcome Carol McCloud, author of Have You Filled a Bucket Today? Thank you.
We hope to see you and your friends next year. And it’s not too late to donate and become involved. There are lots of buckets to fill and we need lots of hands to carry them.
